Incluso informaciones recientes indican la posibilidad que \u00e9sta pueda llegar a ser la peor sequ\u00eda de la historia.<\/p>\n<p>La disminuci\u00f3n dr\u00e1stica de las precipitaciones tiene un impacto innegable sobre el precio de la electricidad en el mercado mayorista y repercute directamente sobre el precio final para el consumidor. La energ\u00eda hidroel\u00e9ctrica, que proviene mayormente de los embalses, desplaza en el mercado a tecnolog\u00edas m\u00e1s caras como el carb\u00f3n o los ciclos combinados de gas, y mantiene el precio de la electricidad bajo.<\/p>\n<p>Si comparamos la producci\u00f3n hidroel\u00e9ctrica durante la actual sequ\u00eda con la producci\u00f3n hidroel\u00e9ctrica durante periodos secos del pasado reciente, observamos c\u00f3mo durante el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o hidrol\u00f3gico (octubre\u00a02016\u2500septiembre\u00a02017: 22.655\u00a0GWh) ni siquiera se ha llegado a los m\u00ednimos de producci\u00f3n de la \u00faltima sequ\u00eda de 2012 (octubre\u00a02011\u2500septiembre\u00a02012: 23.199\u00a0GWh).
