In 2024, batteries and their hybridization with renewable energies are taking a leading role, marking the beginning of what appears to be the five-year period of these technologies. With the fall in the price of batteries and the need to optimize the profitability of projects, especially in the face of negative or close to zero prices in solar hours, their adoption is more strategic than ever. Furthermore, their integration is essential to reduce renewable energy discharges and help maintain the stability of the electrical system.
In this webinar, Luis Marquina de Soto, president of AEPIBAL, the Business Association of Batteries, Batteries and Energy Storage, will participate, will share his vision on the future of batteries, hybridization and energy storage in general.
As usual, the analysis of the evolution and prospects of the European energy markets will also be carried out, with a special focus on winter 2024-2025.

He has been working in the renewable energy sector since 2007. He has collaborated with leading national and international companies in different countries, especially in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom and Latam.

Antonio Delgado Rigal is the founder and CEO of AleaSoft. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the main creator of the Alea methodology and forecasting model. He has participated as a leader in dozens of forecasting projects and created or supervised hundreds of forecasting models in the energy sector for the most important companies in the sector in Europe. The accumulated experience in the knowledge of the Spanish electricity market goes back more than 20 years.
