Workshop aimed at developers, sponsors and investors in BESS and hybrid projects, utilities, IPP and financial institutions.
This workshop is aimed at developers, sponsors and investors in BESS and hybrid projects, utilities, IPP and financial institutions that need to estimate and analyse the revenue and profitability of energy storage projects, compare different configurations and assess their long‑term viability.
Developing battery energy storage projects requires a combined analysis of technical, market and financial aspects. Battery configuration, operating strategy, the evolution of electricity market and balancing services prices, degradation, capital and operating costs, and financing conditions all have a direct impact on the project’s expected revenue and profitability.
AleaBattery enables the analysis of stand‑alone battery systems and hybrid projects combining battery storage with solar and wind power plants, using long‑term hourly simulations. The platform allows users to configure project characteristics, simulate battery operation, estimate revenue from energy arbitrage and balancing services, assess profitability and financing metrics, and compare different configurations and scenarios to identify the most suitable options.
During the workshop, AleaBattery will be introduced and its main functionalities demonstrated through practical examples, from setting up a study to analysing the results. Participants will learn how to use the platform to size projects, analyse revenue streams and profitability, and compare alternatives to support decision‑making throughout the development, investment and financing of BESS and hybrid projects.
