PhD Scientific programmer

Scientific programmer with a PhD in computer engineering, mathematics, physics or artificial intelligence and experience in data analysis, data processing and modelling. He/she will be dedicated to the exploitation and development of the software applications, functionalities and models developed by the company. Experience in C++ and Python programming language is also an asset.

Job description

Development and improvement of forecasting models for the energy sector. The most common tasks to be developed are:

  • Prepare and improve models using the Alea methodology or other methodologies for the development of time series forecasts.
  • Defining, implementing and improving forecasting processes for the energy sector.
  • Developing long-term energy sector price forecast reports.

Experience in the following is required:

  • C++ or other similar language for scientific use
  • Statistical and Artificial Intelligence skills
  • Data analysis skills
  • Databases (administration and programming): Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Access
  • Web development (HTML, Javascript, ASP, PHP, WordPress, WebDav)
  • Web service
  • Knowledge of Matlab or other languages used in statistics
  • Development of research tasks

Requirements

  • BSc and PhD in areas of computer engineering, mathematics, physics or artificial intelligence.
  • Experience in: Modelling / Data processing / C++ language.
