  • Macrovolatility of the European electricity markets and outlook from the second quarter of 2022
  • Benefits of PPA for large and electro‑intensive consumers
  • AleaSoft services that contribute to risk management and the energy transition

The situation of macrovolatility in the European electricity markets continues to generate uncertainty, especially for large and electro‑intensive consumers for whom high prices for so long are causing great harm. In these circumstances, PPA gain more prominence as a tool to manage the risks of unfavourable situations in the market, such as the current one. In this regard, last December the public insurance company Cesce approved the guarantee scheme for electricity sellers within the framework of mid- and long‑term PPA with electro‑intensive consumers, contemplated in the Statute of Electro-intensive Consumers. This coverage is of great importance for large and electro-intensive consumers who will be able to count on the State guarantee when signing a PPA.

These issues will be discussed at the analysis table of the Spanish version of the webinar, which will include the participation of Fernando Soto, Director‑General of AEGE, and Juan Puyol, Deputy Director at Cesce. The webinar will also analyse the evolution and prospects of the European energy markets with an eye on the second quarter of 2022.
