Monthly webinar number 49
Prospects for batteries, hybridisation and energy storage
In 2024, batteries and their hybridisation with renewable energy are taking a central stage, marking the beginning of what appears to be the five-year period for these technologies. With the fall in battery prices and the need to optimise project profitability, especially in the face of negative or near-zero prices in solar hours, their adoption is more strategic than ever. In addition, their integration is essential to reduce renewable energy curtailments and help maintain the stability of the electricity system.
This webinar will feature the participation of Luis Marquina de Soto, President of AEPIBAL, the Business Association of Batteries and Energy Storage, who will share his vision on the future of batteries, hybridisation and energy storage in general. Likewise, the services for battery projects and hybridisation of batteries with renewable energies that are being carried out at AleaSoft will be described.
As usual, there will also be an analysis of the evolution and prospects of European energy markets, with a special focus on the winter 2024-2025.
