Monthly webinar number 46

Content

  • Evolution and prospects of European energy markets
  • New AleaSoft divisions to boost renewable energy and energy transition
  • Cannibalisation, low prices, price factor, prospects for photovoltaic energy, batteries and hybridisation
  • PPA from the point of view of large and electro-intensive consumers

After the energy price crisis, which significantly impacted large and electro-intensive consumers, in 2024 European electricity market prices have decreased. In the Iberian Peninsula, where the lowest prices in Europe were reached between February and April and negative prices began to be registered, the PPA market has slowed down. This is because offtakers do not feel the urgency to sign long-term agreements in this lower price environment.

In this context, the question arises: is it still beneficial for a large or electro-intensive consumer to have a PPA? This will be one of the topics to be analysed in the webinar, along with other current aspects of the market, such as price cannibalisation due to the increase in solar photovoltaic capacity, low market prices, the price factor of renewable energies, as well as the prospects for photovoltaic energy, batteries and hybridisation.

The webinar will also include the usual analysis of the evolution and prospects of European energy markets, and the divisions that AleaSoft has created to boost renewable energy and energy transition will be explained.
