In AleaSoft’s first webinar of 2026, we will once again be joined by speakers from PwC Spain, who will be participating for the sixth consecutive year in this January event.

In this edition, we will update the analysis presented in the January 2025 webinar on the evolution of the regulatory framework for renewable energy PPA, including virtual PPA. In a context marked by the progress of the five-year period of batteries, we will examine the prospects for energy storage and hybridisation, as well as their impact on business models and on reducing market volatility. We will also analyse the evolution of FPA (Flexibility Purchase Agreements), which continue to gain relevance driven by the integration of batteries and the growing value of energy flexibility.

Another central topic will be the growth in electricity demand, with Data Centers and industry electrification, a key lever for decarbonisation. This increase in demand remains a fundamental element in reducing the frequency of zero or negative prices and mitigating the cannibalisation caused by high renewable energy penetration.

As usual, we will present an updated analysis of the recent evolution and prospects for European energy markets from 2026 onwards.
