For the sixth consecutive year, the October webinar will feature speakers from Deloitte, who will share their vision on the current state and trends in the financing of renewable energy and storage projects. The importance of forecasts in audits and in portfolio valuation will also be addressed, in a context of growing volatility in energy markets.

In addition, the opportunities offered by batteries and hybridization will be analysed, two strategic pillars of the energy transition that have been arousing great interest for more than a year.

As usual, will present an analysis of the recent evolution of the main European energy markets, with special attention to the outlook for winter 2025-2026.

Speakers

Oriol Saltó i Bauzà is Associate Partner at AleaSoft. He has a doctorate in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has 20 years of experience in data analysis and modelling both in the context of scientific research and energy markets. At AleaSoft, for more than 15 years, he has been at the forefront of developing forecasting models for European energy markets: electricity, gas, oil, CO₂, among others.

Carlos Milans del Bosch en Partner, Corporate Finance Energy at Deloitte. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Structured Financing, originating and executing non-recourse financing operations, M&A and financial advisory services in the energy and infrastructure sectors, focusing on debt structuring and PPA in the renewable energy sector. Throughout his professional career he has worked with numerous multidisciplinary teams, leading pioneering project financing and leveraged finance transactions for corporate and institutional clients, both in Spain and abroad.

Álvaro Antón Azcoiti is Director, Corporate Finance Energy at Deloitte since 2018. Previously he worked for more than 14 years at HSBC Global Banking and Markets as Director Project & Export Finance and as Director Infrastructure and Real Estate Group.

Ricardo Benito Pascual is Director, Corporate Finance Energy at Deloitte. He has more than 20 years of experience at Deloitte, in which he has provided financial advice to companies in the energy sector, mainly in the renewable energy sector.

Álvaro Osés Lainez es Manager, Treasury Advisory at Deloitte. He specialises in advising companies in the energy sector on the valuation and accounting treatment of derivative financial instruments and Power Purchase Agreement, especially in the context of Project Finance and refinancing.

Xavier Cugat has experience in the renewable energy sector since 1999 and in the photovoltaic sector since 2004. He has worked as a Project Manager, Supervisor, General Manager, in Power Electronics Engineering and in Technical Audits in photovoltaic plants. It has an international focus that covers Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States and several Latin American countries. He writes articles for technical journals and has been a speaker at multiple conferences such as the UNEF Hydrogen and Storage Congress, SolarPraxis, Wind & Solar Expo Chile, among others. He is currently BESS Technical Director at Seraphim.

Francisco Valverde Sánchez is technical engineer at telecommunications. In the last 14 years he has developed various facets related to the energy area. He currently works as an independent professional for the development of renewable energies. He has given numerous training events in person and online, independently or in collaboration with other engineers on the electricity market and its behaviour. In addition, he has published numerous reports or features in different media, both general and specialised.

Alejandro Diego Rosell is a lawyer by training and has extensive international experience in the solar energy sector. He has worked in business development, market analysis and strategic consulting for companies in the photovoltaic sector. Since 2015 he has been Managing Partner of Energoya SL. He currently leads energy consulting projects at Nuvix Consulting, serves as Chief Research Officer in green hydrogen for World Wide Recruitment, continues to operate independently through his firm SunAdvisors and is a professor of the Master in Renewable Energy (MERME) at EOI.

Antonio Delgado Rigal is the founder and CEO of AleaSoft. He is a doctor in Artificial Intelligence and the main creator of the AleaModel methodology and forecasting model. He has participated as a leader in hundreds of forecasting projects and has participated in and supervised the development of hundreds of forecasting models in the energy sector for the most important companies in the sector in Europe. The accumulated experience in the knowledge of the European electricity market dates back to more than 25 years.
