In this webinar we will continue to delve into the analysis of energy storage, with a special focus on batteries. The fall in their costs in recent years has made them a strategic option to drive the development of energy storage in the short and medium term.

To address these issues, we will have the participation of Javier Adiego Orera, CEO and co‑founder of 7C Energy, who will analyse the importance of having reliable forecasts of electricity demand and secondary band for efficient battery operation. He will also analyse the economic benefits of batteries depending on their degree of use, as well as the keys to optimise their profitability. In addition, he will review the main regulatory aspects of storage, including support mechanisms and capacity payments.

Javier Adiego Orera, CEO and co-founder of 7C Energy. Lawyer specialised in electricity regulation. He has been, among others, responsible for investment analysis, country manager for the USA with X-Elio and Director of the IPP division of Soltec.

Oriol Saltó i Bauzà is Associate Partner at AleaSoft. He is PhD in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has 20 years of experience in data analysis and modelling both in the context of scientific research and in energy markets. At AleaSoft, for more than 15 years, he has been at the forefront of the development of forecasting models for the European energy markets: electricity, gas, oil, CO₂, among others.
