This webinar will analyse the current opportunities and challenges of the European energy sector in a context marked by the transformation of the electricity system, the volatility of market prices and the growing need for flexibility.
As in each edition, an updated analysis of the main European energy markets will be offered, addressing the keys to understanding their recent evolution and the prospects in the medium and long term.
The PPA market will also be analysed, paying special attention to its role as a hedging tool for intensive consumers, as well as its relevance for the financing of renewable energy projects. In addition, the growing interest in energy storage solutions, both stand‑alone and hybridised, as a way to optimise costs, manage demand and generation and strengthen resilience will be discussed.
Within this framework, the current IDAE’s 700 million euro call for aid will be addressed, aimed at battery, thermal or reversible pumped storage projects, in stand‑alone mode or combined with renewable energy generation. The call is open until July 15.
