  • Evolution of the European energy markets from 2021
  • Auctions and their effect on the market
  • Technical Due Diligence and its importance in the projects financing

Europe is experiencing the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic and the governments are taking steps to slow its progress. After more than eight months, it remains unclear when the end of the health crisis will occur. The uncertainty about the consequences of this situation on economies, that were already heavily affected during the first wave of the pandemic, is increasing. This uncertainty also affects the energy markets and the prospects for how they will behave in the mid and long term.

This webinar will analyse the evolution of the energy markets, emphasising the prospects from 2021. The following topics related to the renewable energy projects financing will also be addressed:

  • Auctions of 2016 and 2017 held in Spain
  • New renewable energy auctions system recently proposed by the Spanish Government
  • Possible influence of renewable energy auctions on the present and future panorama of renewable energies in Spain
  • Technical risks that can impact on the viability of a project and how to mitigate or ensure them, which should be part of the tasks of the financing technical advisor
