Content

  • Evolution of the European energy markets from 2021
  • Vision of the PPA market for the consumer in the current context

This webinar will be held just after the end of Christmas and the beginning of the new year holidays, which will be marked by the measures that the governments take to try to stop the spread of COVID‑19 during dates characterised by family reunions. Although the news about the positive results of several vaccines generated hope about the end of the health crisis, the uncertainty remains about when and how the recovery from the economic crisis will happen. The energy markets and their prospects in the mid and long term are not immune to this uncertainty.

The webinar will be the continuation of the one held on November 26, 2020 and the evolution of the energy markets will be analysed, emphasising the prospects from the year 2021 that begins. In addition, the following topics related to the vision of the PPA market for the consumer will be addressed:

  • Risk management tool, source of savings, CSR commitment
  • Market evolution and PPA types for the Spanish client
  • Aspects to consider when contracting the PPA:
    • Impact on the customer operations: Selection of the type of PPA and supply contract
    • Business case: need to have future pool prices estimates
    • Requirements from a CSR point of view
    • Accounting and tax impacts
    • Contracting process and risks to mitigate
