Content

  • Evolution and prospects of European energy markets
  • Importance of forward markets for the renewable energy development

The energy crisis that Europe is experiencing since the second half of 2021, which has been aggravated since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, has highlighted the need to further promote the renewable energy development, as a way to reduce dependence on foreign energy, lower electricity prices and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

This webinar will analyse some tools that will favour the renewable energy development.

The speakers from OMIP and OMIClear will expound the importance of forward markets for hedging and for the renewable energy development. In addition, they will explain the operation of the Iberian Energy Market and the most important products.

As usual, the analysis of the evolution of the European energy markets in recent weeks and the prospects for the last quarter of 2022 will also be carried out.
