Gas reaches the highest prices in 2024 and drives European electricity markets in the fourth week of October
In the fourth week of October, TTF gas futures prices increased, reaching values not seen since November 2023. CO2 futures also rose. Wind energy production declined in most markets and demand increased in some markets. All these factors led to higher prices in most major European electricity markets. On October 22, photovoltaic energy registered the highest production for an October day in Portugal.

Towards the battery quinquennium: A catalyst for profitability in the renewable sector
In the last AleaSoft Energy Forecasting webinar, with the participation of Deloitte, the discussion highlighted how the reductions in battery costs and their hybridisation with renewable energies will be fundamental to increase the profitability of renewable energy projects.
