Solar photovoltaic energy set a daily production record in Germany in the third week of May
On May 14, in Germany, solar photovoltaic energy registered the highest production in the history of this market, exceeding 400 GWh. Wind energy production increased in most markets during the third week of May, which, together with lower gas and CO2 prices than the previous week, contributed to the fall in prices in most major European electricity markets compared to the previous week. Most markets registered hours with negative prices.

Photovoltaic energy continues to set records in Europe this spring
In the second week of May, prices in the main European electricity markets remained at similar levels to those of previous weeks, although the weekly average rose in most of them. The weekly average price fell only in the French market, which registered the lowest value, thus breaking the Iberian markets streak of the lowest prices. Photovoltaic energy reached all time records in Germany, Spain, France and Portugal. Wind energy production fell and gas and CO2 prices rose.

La solar fotovoltaica registró el récord de producción diaria en Alemania en la tercera semana de mayo
El 14 de mayo, la energía solar fotovoltaica registró en Alemania la producción más alta de la historia de este mercado, que superó los 400 GWh. La producción eólica aumentó en gran parte de los mercados durante la tercera semana de mayo, lo que, unido a unos precios de gas y CO2 inferiores a los de la semana anterior, ayudó a que los precios de la mayoría de los principales mercados eléctricos europeos bajaran respecto a la semana anterior. En gran parte de los mercados se registraron horas con precios negativos.

Francia alcanza a Iberia y se sitúa con los precios más bajos entre los mercados eléctricos europeos
En la segunda semana de mayo, los precios de los principales mercados eléctricos europeos se mantuvieron en valores similares a los de las semanas anteriores, aunque el promedio semanal subió en la mayoría. Solo bajó el precio promedio semanal en el mercado francés, que registró el menor valor, rompiéndose así la racha que llevaba el mercado ibérico con los precios más bajos. La fotovoltaica alcanzó el récord histórico en Alemania, España, Francia y Portugal. La producción eólica descendió y los precios del gas y CO2 subieron.
