The drop in wind energy production drives up European electricity market prices in the third week of May
In the third week of May, the weekly average prices of most of the main European electricity markets increased compared to the previous week. The drop in wind energy production and higher demand in some markets supported this trend. The main European markets recorded solar photovoltaic energy production records for a May day, while TTF gas futures reached their highest price since April 8 before declining.
