There are few days left for the AleaSoft webinar on the “Influence of coronavirus on electricity demand and the European electricity markets”, which will take place on next Thursday, June 25, at 10:00 CET.

The webinar is aimed at the professionals of the energy sector and it will address the following topics:

  • Evolution of the European energy markets
  • Financing of renewable energy projects

This will be the third part of a series of webinars that the company carried out since the coronavirus crisis began, in which how this pandemic impacted the evolution of the energy markets and the financing of renewable energy projects was analysed.

In Europe, the measures that were taken to combat the spread of the epidemic started to be softened, but although the demand is beginning to recover, it is still below 2019 levels.

The prices of the Brent oil, the gas, the CO2 emission rights and the European electricity markets also started to recover. However, the global economic growth forecasting is very pessimistic and the possibility of new outbreaks of the epidemic creates uncertainty about the evolution of the energy markets. In this webinar, which are the prospects for recovery in these scenarios will be analysed.

On this occasion the speakers will be:

  • Oriol Saltó, Manager of Data Analysis and Modelling, at AleaSoft
  • Pablo Otín, CEO and co‑founder, at Powertis
  • Miguel Ángel Amores, Manager of Renewable Energy, at Triodos Bank
