Alea Energy DataBase online platform (AleaApp)

AleaSoft developed the Alea Energy DataBase (AleaApp) for the compilation, visualisation and analysis of data related to the energy markets.

The Alea Energy DataBase (AleaApp) is made up of observatories, which are composed of a set of interrelated time series. For example, the Spanish electricity market observatory includes the series of the MIBEL market prices, demand, temperature and production by technology. The fuels observatory includes the prices of the main markets of gas, Brent, coal, CO2 emission rights and the Eurodollar exchange rate. Each series can be consulted individually, but also the series that make up an observatory can be represented jointly.

The data of the Alea Energy DataBase (AleaApp) are compiled on several occasions each day, which guarantees that they are updated.

To customise the display and facilitate the analysis of the data, there are controls that allow:

• Select a date range
• Show in the graph the comparison of the last N weeks or months, where N is a value that can be specified by the user
• Select the granularity in which the data will be displayed. This allows dynamically converting the granularity of the data. For example, in the MIBEL market prices series of the Spanish observatory, which originally has hourly granularity, showing the monthly average can be chosen
• Calculate and display the simple moving average
