At AleaSoft we provide mid-term electricity market price forecasts, with a horizon of up to three years. The forecasts have 15-minute, half-hourly and hourly granularity, depending on the market.
These forecasts are useful for closing products in futures markets, energy trading, risk management and hedging, as well as for optimising and planning energy production and consumption. Therefore, most players in the energy sector can benefit from their use, such as electricity generators, utilities, renewable energy developers, direct consumers, retailers and traders.
We provide the forecasts in two formats: product and service.
These variables include demand, which is modelled using factors such as temperature, socio-economic data and labour. The production scenarios of various technologies, such as wind, solar, hydroelectric and nuclear energy, are also taken into account, as well as the prices of fuels used for electricity generation and CO2 emission allowance prices.
AleaSoft’s forecasts combine Artificial Intelligence, time series and statistical models, guaranteeing their quality through a robust scientific methodology. In addition, we have the trust and confidence of our clients, who have been using our forecasts for 26 years.
