The UNEF photovoltaic projects financing workshop: an occasion to look at the future

AleaSoft, January 31, 2020. Within the framework of the GENERA trade fair, the UNEF organises a workshop on the financing of photovoltaic projects. This will be a great opportunity for the professionals of the sector to prepare for a future in which a growth of more than 30 GW of installed solar photovoltaic capacity is expected in the Spanish territory.

Next week, the UNEF organises a workshop on the photovoltaic projects financing within the framework of the Energy and Environment International Trade Fair (GENERA). This workshop will be held in the GENERA SOLAR space in the Pavilion 10 of IFEMA, in Madrid, on Friday, February 7.

In recent times the solar photovoltaic energy gained a great prominence in the Spanish electricity system being one of the renewable energy sources called to lead the energy transition. So much so that in 2019 it was the technology for the electricity generation that grew the most in terms of installed capacity, increasing almost 4 GW compared to 2018, which represented an increase of 85%. These data show that the Photovoltaic Revolution is already here and, moreover, it is unstoppable, thanks to the abundant solar resource available in Spain, the low costs of the technology and the important environmental benefits of generating electricity with this clean energy.

Offer Long-Term Price Forecast for PPA

The latest draft of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) sets the Target Scenario of the solar photovoltaic energy by 2030 at 39 GW, for which it is necessary that the installed capacity of this technology increase more than 30 GW. Also according to the NECP, it is expected that most of the investments required for the deployment of the renewable energies come from the private sector.

In this context, the workshop on photovoltaic projects financing is a great opportunity to help the professionals of the sector to address this great challenge in the coming years. At the workshop, topics such as the financing of large plants, financing strategies based on merchant or PPA, the prices risk coverage, the surety insurances and the legal structures that facilitate the financing of large plants will be analysed. Antonio Delgado Rigal, CEO of AleaSoft, will talk about the electricity market prices forecasts for calculating and optimising revenues.
